Geek out, gang! Ryan Reynolds set hearts racing with a comically sexy first photo of him as the Marvel antihero Deadpool, whom he'll play in a 2016 movie.
Both Reynolds and the movie's official Twitter handle posted the shot on Friday, March 27. In it, the Woman in Gold actor, 38, channels another Reynolds — the oh-so-manly Burt — by lounging seductively on a bearskin rug in front of a blazing fireplace. (Burt, now 79, posed naked on a similar rug for a 1972 issue of Cosmopolitan.)
"First official look at #Deadpool," the movie's account tweeted. "Eat your heart out Burt Reynolds."

Blake Lively's husband (and dad to their baby daughter James!) added his own caption, writing: "With great power, comes great irresponsibility." In a follow-up post, he wrote: "No bears were harmed in the making of this photo. Though many bears likely turned on."
The campy picture offers a tantalizing glimpse of the actor's costume, a skintight red bodysuit and mask with black accents. It's tougher-looking than his previous superhero getup, a bright green suit for 2011's Green Lantern.
Reynolds' Deadpool — also known as the "Merc with a Mouth" — previously appeared in the 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Tim Miller's Deadpool movie is set to hit theaters next February, and also stars Morena Baccarin and T.J. Miller.
