Teen Mom OG Recap: Maci Bookout Battles Ex Over Co-Parenting Bentley
Slip on your cowboy boots and rev up your BMX bikes because there’s a battle gearing up in Tennessee! On the Monday, April 6 episode of Teen Mom OG, Maci Bookout and her ex Ryan Edwards are once again at each other’s throats over co-parenting their son Bentley.
After Ryan is 40 minutes late to pick up Bentley from some remote gas station (maybe pick a less haunted drop-off place next time, guys!), Maci’s had enough and takes the Ninja Turtles-loving tot to his grandparents’ house.
Though Ryan’s parents are loving and understanding, their trucker hat-wearing son is filled with angsty rage over his ex’s actions. After years of struggling and fighting, the pair finally agree to meet up for lunch, which Ryan is 30 minutes late for.
Basically, Ry Ry wants Maci to call him instead of his mom to discuss the schedule for picking up and dropping off their son. Mind you, he says this after last week’s episode in which he declared he was simply too busy for a phone call.
Surprisingly, Maci is able to keep her cool, and says, “I want to include you. I want to co-parent with you, not your parents. So we’re on the same page.”
Ryan gives a gruff nod of the head, which is his signal that it’s been handled Olivia Pope-style. Fingers crossed that these two can keep it together for the sake of their twang-talking little boy.
As for the other girls…
Though she wishes every day were “The Adventures of Amber and Boo Boo” (her name for daughter Leah), Amber’s time with her little one is more limited these days. Apparently her ex, Gary “The Condom King” Shirley, thinks Leah doesn’t get a regular schedule when she sleeps over at Amber’s house, and wants to keep his daughter at his place during the week.
“Can I have time with you forever?” Leah asks Amber, while simultaneously breaking our hearts.
A frustrated Amber leaves for her book tour with Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry, where she declares to Dr. Drew that she has every intention of seeking full custody of Leah if Gary keeps this up. Dun, dun, dun.
Catelynn Lowell
As Catelynn and her fiancé Tyler Baltierra prep their baby girl’s nursery, it starts making them reminisce about their first child, Carly. Though they get to occasionally visit Carly and her adoptive parents Brandon and Teresa, Tyler doesn’t think that’s enough.
He takes to Facebook to post a slideshow video of Carly after Brandon and Teresa specifically asked them not to share any images of the little girl. Tyler feels it’s his right, but is quickly put in his place when the angry couple calls and expresses their disappointment at his actions.
A tearful Catelynn urges her love to stop with the social media.

“As long as I have a relationship with [Carly], I don’t give a s—t about anything else,” she says. It’s not worth the likes, Ty!
